Stocking Stuffers

I need some help! So far, I have 2 cool aluminum travel sport bottles and 2 holiday scented giant bath fizzy balls for the boys' stockings. I've been looking for some cute holiday candy dispensers or something, but I'm not having much luck. Any thoughts out there in the blogosphere?

I know for many the stocking is an after thought, but when I was growing up, my brother and I would save our super long Christmas stockings for last. We wanted to savor each item. It drove my mother nuts that very often our favorite holiday gift would be some trinket we found in our stockings.

I've continued the tradition with Tyler (and now Max too) and he eagerly looks forward to dumping out his stocking to see what goodies Santa brought him. It's going to be hard to top last year. I was on fire! I found the coolest stuff.

This year? Not so much.

My sister has the little gold coins for Austin and the mini M&M's dispensers as well. For Collin it's tubby toys,You know rubby duckies and such?, and occasionally she tosses in a small package of crayons and those teeny coloring books for Austin and picture books for Collin. There's also little tricket toys at Walmart you can find amongst the party favors. Maybe you can buy enough to make a goodie bag for Tyler's class and put one in his stocking. (You know the whistles, the rings and such?) Maybe even some bubbles too. My mom use to put lollypops and chocolate in our's along with soaps and

To me, the two things I looked forward to the most in my stocking was one or two matchbox cars and the Hershey's miniatures (mmmmm special dark!)

{{{Becky}}} Not sure where to direct you to for what you're looking for, but I do have an idea. I'm looking to get rid of a few older Beanie Babies & was wondering if you might be interested in some of them. No charge at all & no strings attached! Just my own little Random Act of Kindness. Let me know.

I still want to know how you got the cool stuff in your sidebar (like the Amazon.com & weather stuff)! I'm not sure how to do it here at blogspot & need all the help I can get ~ in moron mode!! LOL Drop me a line & fill me in if you'd be so kind. Thanks!

Hugs,

We used to give a Slinky each year, silly putty, an orange in the toe at the bottom to help weigh it down, deck of cards (Slingo, Go Fish, etc...), hot wheels, mini flashlights - kids love those! - of course, candy canes, chocolate kisses, and anything we could find in the minaure items. Personal hygiene, fun rope soaps from Avon, toothbrush, toothpaste, new hairbrush or comb, etc...

Good luck, and have fun with it!
